800px-Students_in_a_Harvard_Business_School_classroomA New York Times feature out yesterday reports on Harvard Business School’s attempt to improve gender parity, both within the student body and among professors, over the past couple of years.
The full, and very detailed, article discusses difficulties that had to be overcome to change the social scene. And it details the particularities of the HBS social structure that perpetuated gender issues.
HBS Dean Nitin Nohria and Harvard President Drew Faust thought that transforming the culture around gender at HBS would have transformative effects outside in the business world, where only 21 Fortune 500 CEOs are women.
